INTRODUCTION

Jesus first words to the stunned Apostles after the Resurrection

“Peace be with you.” (John 20:19)

In Ephesians, Paul’s mind soars into Cosmic Realms as he celebrates Jesus, then He swoops right down to earth into our living rooms, and helps us rear our children.

The book of Ephesians divides into two major sections
Chapters 1-3; 4-6

  • Possession to Profession;
  • Facts to Do;
  • New Society to New Standard;
  • Doctrine to Ethics;
  • Preaching to Results;
  • Insight to Urge;
  • Exposition to Exhortation;
  • Position to Practice;
  • Indicative to Imperative;
  • Inheritance to Investments;
  • Theology to Morality;
  • Wealth results in Walk;
  • Doctrine results in Duty;
  • Creed determines Character;
  • Belief affects Behavior;
  • Faith manifests Life; Light shines in Darkness;
Christianity does not begin with a big DO, but with a big DONE.

God offers Peace through a Person, with a Plan, for a People, with a Possession, that is Permanent, and deserves Praise.

Secular Society is the environment in which Christians live and the Church Exists.

We are not IN the World bearing witness to Christ, we are IN Christ bearing witness to the World.

Four Realities in the Ephesians Letter.

Power for Peace               1:19    “Mighty Power”
Personal Peace                 2:14    “He is our Peace,
Peace Process                   2:1      “Quickened”
Opponent to peace            2:2      “Prince of the power of the air.”

  Therefore

 1.      Don’t let your feelings fool you.

 2.      Don’t be discouraged by frequent repetitious temptations.

 3.      Don’t think you must have super human power.

 4.      Cut all conversations with you old land lord short.

 Grace and Peace be unto You!

Peace of Mind
Peace of God
Inward Peace
Peace with God
Peace at Home
Peace at Church
Peace at Work
Peace in the Presence of the Enemy
