Praying Holy Scriptures for Healing
“Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” ~ James 5:13-16 Affirmation:
"I know the plans I (God has) have for you [Name]," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you [Name] and not to harm you [Name], plans to give you [Name] hope and a future." ~ Jeremiah 29:11
"These things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day." says the Lord. ~ Habakkuk 2:3
19 “Also, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about something and pray for it, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. (NCV) ~ Matthew 18:19
Praying the Scripture:
14 When they came to the disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and scribes disputing with them. 15 All of a sudden, when the whole crowd saw Him, they were amazed[4] Or surprised and ran to greet Him. 16 Then He asked them, “What are you arguing with them about?” 17 Out of the crowd, one man answered Him, “Teacher, I brought my son to You.
(Teacher, I bring [Name] to You.)
He has a spirit that makes him unable to speak. 18 Wherever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I asked Your disciples to drive it out, but they couldn’t.” 19 He replied to them, “You unbelieving generation![5] Deut. 32:5; Mark 6:6; Philippians 2:15 How long will I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him to Me.” (“I bring [Name] to You.”) 20 So they brought him to Him. When the spirit saw Him, it immediately convulsed the boy. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. 21 “How long has this been happening to him?” (This had been happening for a lifetime.) Jesus asked his father. “From childhood,” he said. 22 “And many times it has thrown him into fire or water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
(Name speak out loud , “Jesus You can do anything, have compassion on me and bring healing and restoration to [name] mind and body.”)
23 Then Jesus said to him, “ ‘If You can?’[6] [Other mss add believe [7] Jesus appears to quote the father’s words in v. 22 and then comment on them.] Everything is possible to the one who believes.” 24 Immediately the father of the boy cried out, [Name]: Cry Out:
“I do believe! Help my unbelief.” 25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly coming together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You mute and deaf spirit,
(A spirit that caused the boy to be deaf and unable to speak,)
[8] I command you: come out of him and never enter him again!” (Command: Dear Lord that the malady and confusion, and physical dysfunction come out of [Name] and never enter him/her again!)
26 Then it came out, shrieking and convulsing him[9] Other mss omit him violently. The boy became like a corpse, so that many said, “He’s dead.” 27 But Jesus, taking him by the hand, raised him, and he stood up. (“I believe, help my unbelief.”)
28 After He went into a house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” 29 And He told them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer [and fasting].”[10] Other mss omit bracketed text ~ Mark 9:14-29
