A Prayer Based on Proverbs 8 All knowing Father, I hear you calling me. God who speaks and informs me of your ways, I know you stand in the busiest intersections of my life. Your voice cries out above every voice in my head. I hear your shouts. You are the searcher of my soul. You know the deepest part of me. Silence my childish idiocy and soften my mind to listen only to you. Do not let me miss a single tid-bit about how I am to live. You are the source of all righteous living. Givers of all truth, help me to savor every morsel of your truth. Let me be so aware of truth that I will vomit evil! Let all my conversation be riddled with truth. Stop my mouth if I try to speak otherwise. Do not let a syllable be twisted or skewed. People know the truth when they hear it. Their mind is ready to receive truth. Boss of my life; help me prefer your disciplines rather than getting rich quick and following some lucrative scheme. Being identified with you is far more precious to me than designer clothes or fancy cars. Author of Eternal Wisdom, help me live a sensible life. Give me knowledge and discretion on every deal I make. I fear you more than I love evil. Like you, I hate evil, pride, arrogance and double talk. Let me always think and feel like you. Your words make sense to me. I know I am receiving good counsel when I listen to you. Give me understanding and strength to live a righteous life. Guide me like you would guide a king, a prince, a nobleman, or ruler. Let your wisdom give credibility to everything I say or do. You loved me first. I love you back. I can hardly wait to begin our morning talks together. I love your presence. I acknowledge that the money and recognition given to me are the direct result of your honor and good name. I can never make enough money, or get a return on my investment that would exceed the unimaginable bonus I receive from being your friend. Guide me on the Right Road. Let me walk in the middle of righteousness and justice. Thank you for the life you have given me. Thank you for giving me armloads of treasure and life! Eternal God, you have possessed me from the beginning of my life, even when I did not know or acknowledge you. Thank you for being with me and keeping me close to you, even before the foundation of the World you knew me. When I was just a speck of dust, you were aware of me. You are the creator of matter and life. You are like a Spring and River in my life. From everlasting to everlasting you are The Almighty God. Thank you for being there when I was born; Thank you for having me on your mind when you made the earth, the fields, and the primal dust of the World. You are an awesome God. When you set the sky in place, I was on your mind. You are worthy of praise! You mapped the Oceans and the Terrian. You marked the vault of heaven and installed the fountains that feed the Oceans. You are worthy of Praise! I love the way you make the tides of the Ocean come and go. They have a boundary which you have set, and they cannot go beyond them. You are worthy of Praise! You make everything fit. You are worthy of praise! I delight in your consistency. I applaud your presence. You are worthy of Praise! I praise you when I see the creatures and the things of the world that you have made. When I see mankind I am astounded at your creativity and originality. I am paying close attention to you today, Eternal One. I am embracing your ways with my body, soul and spirit. Discipline my life. Do not let me squander one single minute. The life you have given me is precious. I am honored and blessed above all men and women because you speak to me. Wake me up early every morning and make me alert and responsive to you as I start each day. I have found real life in you and nothing brings me pleasure but your life in me.
