Dr. Ben Smith

Dr. Smith sees the purpose of First Baptist Church, Lake Dallas  as loving God, loving others, and serving the world.   "All men seek God, desire healthy relationships with each other, and want to fulfil their purpose in the world." says Smith.  First Baptist Lake Dallas is in the heart of Denton County with Denton County on her heart.    The First Baptist Family love and support each  another and have a vision of reaching people for Christ.

Dr. Smith especially wants God to restore the joy of salvation to every believer.  Luke 15 is the Lost and Found Column of the New Testament.  The sheep was helplessly lost.  The Coin was worthlessly lost.  The Son was hopelessly lost.  The elder brother was lost to joy.  Through Christ and community individuals can be restored to meaningful relationships, and the joy of the Lord.

Ben and Jean have three children:  Rene', Jeff, and Jennifer.  They have 7 grandchildren, Rachael, Randall, Philip, Colton, Nathan, Lauren, and Ryan.  The Smith's live in Corinth, Texas.
